What are the interactions between construction sites and the rest of the city, its citizens (neighbors and passers-by, traders and residents, etc.) and the built environment (heritage, function, etc.)? This is the question that our research project attempts to answer in an urban, anthropological and landscape perspective. This research took place from June to November 2017 on public construction sites of the city of Montreal. Through observation, mapping and visual analysis, we paint a picture of the construction sites and make recommendations for a better interlocking city-building site.
